Calculations and files

All scientific calculations and CSV parsing happen in your browser. We do not upload your measurements, sample names, filenames, coefficients or concentration values. Tools use memory only: reloading or leaving the page clears the working data. Downloaded files are saved to your device when you request them.

Analytics

Google Analytics (G-RLXG3516DG) counts page views and useful actions such as opening a tool, completing a calculation, building a calibration, loading an example and requesting an export. Events use limited categories such as tool ID, example versus user input, row-count band and export format. Scientific inputs and outputs are never included.

If you are outside the UK and the EU/EEA, analytics loads automatically and we do not show a banner. If you are in the UK or the EU/EEA, we ask first: analytics is off until you choose “Allow analytics”. To decide whether to ask, the page reads your browser’s time-zone setting; nothing about it is sent to us. As a backstop, Google Consent Mode keeps analytics storage off by default for visitors whose IP address Google places in the UK or the EU/EEA, unless they have chosen “Allow analytics”.

Google may process browser, device, IP-derived approximate location and cookie identifiers under its policies, including on servers outside Australia. Advertising storage, personalised advertising and Google signals are disabled by this site. We do not fingerprint visitors.

Wherever you are, you can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer, including turning analytics off. We store the choice in local storage, and a saved choice always takes precedence. Declining analytics does not affect the tools. Revoking consent stops site analytics and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies; it cannot undo previously processed events. See Google’s privacy policy.

Contact messages

The contact form sends your name, reply email and message to our server and then to the site operator by email. Only include information needed for your enquiry. Please do not send confidential laboratory data or sensitive personal information.

The form uses a short-lived session cookie and rate limiting to protect against automated submissions. An IP-derived hash is used for rate limiting. We use messages to respond and improve the service, retain them only as needed for that purpose and reasonable record keeping, and do not sell contact information.

Hosting and security

The shared hosting provider may record ordinary access and security logs, including IP address, request path, browser information and time. Scientific values are not put in page addresses by the tools. Hosting and email providers process data needed to deliver these services.
